A monthly allowance for cancer-related medical supplies.
Homemaker and Respite Care
When adequate patient care is impossible without help, homemaker and respite services are made available to qualified cancer patients.
Dental Assistance
Volunteer dentists perform limited dental work prior to the beginning of treatment when required.
Nutritional Supplements
Nutritional supplements are provided at no cost or a reduced fee.
Medical Equipment
Cancer Care Services will lend durable medical equipment, such as hospital beds, walkers, wheelchairs, or shower chairs, at no cost to our clients when prescribed by the treating physician. Oxygen assistance is also available.
Transportation
CCS provides transportation reimbursements for gasoline and parking expenses or assistance for use of other transportation services to go to various kinds of treatments.
Emergency Funds
A small amount of money is available for emergencies.
COBRA Health Insurance Premiums
Assistance with COBRA health insurance premiums is provided for a limited time to cancer patients unable to work to allow completion of current treatment.
Counseling, Support Groups, and Case Management
Individualized help from CCS social workers and various programs, activities and services, including case management and support groups, are available to all cancer patients, their families and care-givers at no charge, regardless of income. These programs help them work through the worry and frustration of cancer as well as provide other essential services and emotional support.
